Managing Executive, Parks Division at SANParks

Property Senzeni Mokoena is currently the Managing Executive of the Parks Division at South African National Parks (SANParks). He is responsible for 18 national parks across the provinces in South Africa, and manages protected areas, tourism development as well as the conservation of biodiversity.

Mokoena joined Mpumalanga Parks Board as a young graduate and grew within the ranks until he exited as Director: Blyde River Canyon to join SANParks as General Manager for the northern region. He holds a Bachelor of Technology in Nature Conservation from Tshwane University of Technology in South Africa and a Masters’ Degree in Environmental Management from the University of the Free State in South Africa. Mokoena has 23 years’ experience in protected-area management, environmental management, biodiversity and conservation.
