To support South Africa’s transition to a green economy, the WWF Nedbank Green Trust actively promotes the development of green skills through its Environmental Leaders Programme.
Why does it matter?
Investing in people who want to make a positive contribution to the environment strengthens the sector itself and contributes to the well-being of all. Our work includes internships, mentors’ training, postgraduate research fellowships and mid-level career development scholarships.

WHAT IS THE WWF NEDBANK GREEN TRUST DOING?
The main reason for investing in green skills development initiatives is to enable long-term good governance of the environment, and to ultimately embed green skills into the national system of skills planning and development.
